Welcome to Rufus Records – an adventurous Australian jazz label |
|||||
I didn’t foresee that a chance introduction to Australian jazz in Sydney in 1990 would stimulate a response to the music that would see the first Rufus Records release in early 1993. Well into its second decade, this label is pleased to have released a rich diversity of Australian jazz CDs from Sydney and Melbourne, bands such as Bernie McGann’s lineups, Ten Part Invention, Wanderlust, The catholics, Alister Spence and Tim Stevens’ Trios, Trio Apoplectic and many more. I’m also proud of a wonderful collaboration between US Blues/soul diva Margie Evans and her favourite band The Mighty Reapers. Welcome to the website. I’m a punter who has been seduced by these sounds. Perhaps you may be, too. Tim Dunn |
